11:41 AM

ONLY read this entire entry if you REALLY want to know the other ugly side of our Muslim community. What a shame!

Selfishness and Greed will only lead you to, nowhere near victory.

Sunday

Woke up late. I was the last person to arrive at the bus stop. Everybody was PATIENTLY waiting. Thanx eh! But hey, at least I spared a thought for them, I brought Chocolate Chip Bread from Bonjour(Mcm bagus la tu konon).

Reached Nan Chiau Primary School in time to register. Many of us were feeling rather nervous because seriously, we only had to 2 netball practices to date. ONLY 2. Even with the practices, some did not turn up on either days so there wasn't a full rehearsel kinda thing.

It was surprising to see government school netball teams at such events organised by some religous organisation because for the past 2 competitions at NTU & NUS, all were Muslims la. So I was more fucking scared because these gvnt schools have had a gazillion more practices than us and stamina like a whale. WHALE??!!

Category A= 13 to 16 year olds (if i'm not mistaken)
Category B= 17 to 25 year olds (US!!!!)

So moving on, we found out the Cat B games will only start at 1045. Sian rite? It was only 0845 at that point of time. But despair not, we took the wntire time to sit and watch and learn from the junior games and also practice, practice and literally more practices.

Let me lay out the names of our opponents;

Team1
AsSyakirrin (All time winning team)
ABC ( A combo of winning school players from Holy Innocents High, Chinese somemore)
Jamiyah ( Some Temasek Poly school players)
AFY

Team2
Infra Red
Pemulia
ALAMAK.COM ( MInah-IANs, with typical Mat2 supporters)
Iman

Iman, that's us. So the usual routine, we had to defeat 2 groups in Team 2 to qualify for Semi Final. Flawless..

Iman 11 VS Infra red 1
Iman 6 VS Pemulia 0

Then came into semi finals where only

Iman
ALAMAK.COM
AsSyakirin
ABC

ALAMAK.COM vs IMAN

Let me remind you that, this was the most intense netball meet ever because ALAMAK was being sucha bitch, damn fucking bitch with the MATS degrading and lowering down your morale during the whole entire match and AsSyakirin can swiftly move down the court in 5 seconds with the ball without even being touch by its opponent. ABC was most friendly of all.

Anyway, Iman badly wanted to defeat ALAMAK minah team to prove to the asshole mats that we can bring them down even with all their idiotic comments/support being thrown at us. For the record, most of ALAMAK members were displaying the most fucked up snob faces ever in the history of mankind.

We won them! The game was super intense. If only, I could record their defeated faces.

ASSYAKIRIN vs IMAN

After which, we had a game we would die not to have, AsSyakirin. I walked into the court feeling very tired because many of us were playing full 14 mins game with only 2-3 mins interval. I said to myself,

"This is a team which many look up to because they prove to the Muslimah community that with wearing the tudung, their standard is similar to a national school team." Tough chicks. 3 mins into the game, we were losing on a 2-4 score. The next thing I knew, I fell down, my pants was torn. But it was nothing.

But what pissed me of more was, one of their team members shouted at Syafiqah (GD) and then she walked over to her friend, whom I was guarding, and said "She no need to use elbows what!!" I was fuming mad la sia. So I looked at her and said "Ehhhh relax ahhh". Then she shouted at Syafiqah again. There was one time where Syafiqah and the oppponent's member clashed and that opponents member fell hard, and she shouted "FUCK!".

WHAT THE FUCK??

I was trying very hard not to hurl vulgarities (which was unlikely of me right??) and she, was saying that to my friends face.

Suddenly, I felt a strong drive to prove to them we could win. Before the second half started, I looked up into the sky, and prayed to God this "Dear God, only you will show us the right and fair way to win. Dear God, only you will determine who will win!"

From a losing 2-4, we won 8-5. Alhamdulilah. To me, that was THE taste of victory.

ABC vs IMAN

Finally we had our last game with ABC which I respect alot. We expectedly lost to them 1-6. What ever it is, I felt so good winning the Minah ALAMAK team and the very proud AsSyakirin.

Tula Melayu, da pandai da bagus, lupa dunia, ACT LIKE SOME GOD.

Typical, but of course not all Melayu are like that la.
