*Before you even read this, keep in mind that its abit too long*

I was feeling abit of jibberish about my Saturday outing with the boyfriend until after I talked to the best friend about it and giving her best and most honest opinion, I think I ask for too much that I forget the small little gestures he does which are one of the most important things and they are the ones that makes me love him even more. How can I overlook it and just be selfish?

Here goes;

He picked me up from home and off we were to Eunos MRT. On the way there, he was asking me where I would prefer to drop off at; Raffles Place or City Hall. So I said wherever which is nearer to the place that he wants to bring me. Then he said its best we drop off at Raffles Place. Upon reaching, we walked along the Singapore River and then crossed over to the Esplanade because we wanted to have dinner at 2HOTHalal Cafe. By the time we reached Esplanade, it was nearing to Maghrib already. We couldnt decide on eating at the cafe or the stretch of stalls [if im not mistaken its called the esplanade bay]. Since the stalls area were overcrowded, we settled for the cafe. Service and ambience, I'd give 4/5. But food wise, 3/5. During dinner, he told me his friends were at the Esplanade and they wanted to meet me and wish me Happy Birthday. So at first I thought, only 3-5, but instead 10 came along with their girlfriends.

While waiting for the food to be served, he told me that he actually made a card for me. The contents I shan't go into detail but the funnniest part is that he forgot to bring it. Haha never mind. Then during my last few bites, he told me the surprise was

TO WATCH THE FIRWORKS FOR THE NDP PREVIEW BY THE MERLION.

I melted for while because it was totally uncalled for. I forgot all about it. But when we finished eating, we saw that the area where the Merlion was, was fully packed and the fact that Zasir's friends were all at another place which was nearer to the fireworks, we decided to pass on watching it by the Merlion and joined his friends instead. As soon as the fireworks came on, nobody saw it because it was blocked by The Oriental. Thus all I could see were mere shadows of it. Tsk! Everybody around there were upset about it. Haha
After the didnt-exactly-turn-out-surprise, we all just chatted until one of his friends complained that they were hungry. So after that, we seperated and me and my boyfriend continued on our date by walking back to Raffles Place MRT. Stopped and chilled along the way. Took photos like nobody's business and pretty much enjoyed each other's company.
Something that really made my day was the fact that he remembered of someting I told him last week;
"I would love to just walk along the banks of the Singapore River, take photos of me and you and simply like the first time when we went out on a date. Just about me and you. [although at times he was talking about army 24/7. haha perks of having an army boyfriend.]
He said "I remembered you saying that and thought that maybe I could fulfil your request. I hope you'll enjoy it"
;))
